Me and Red mmmm we are still making friends! I usually can tolerate red in small doses only. Though lately much like pink it is growing on me. But I do love black nail polish. And I am totally obsessed with these Black Nails with Red Glitter Ombre design. Black and red color combination is so magical.

This is my type of holiday nails – simple, but with a healthy dose of sparkle!
I first did this design on my nails few years ago for the holidays. It was a no chip manicure of course. So it was on my nails 3.5 weeks! And I am not kidding, almost all of my clients wanted it. I barely did any classic holiday red nails that year.
Since then I wear these nails almost every year as my Valentine’s Day manicure. It is elegant, modern, shique and sexy. And perfect for Christmas manicure or New Year’s Eve manicure too.
For us beauty professionals, especially colorists this manicure is great during a busy holiday. season. Not only because its festive, but also it doesn’t show hair color stains as much 🙂 . And it will be a perfect holiday accessory to any casual, party or holiday outfit.
It can be easily created as both regular and a gel no chip manicure.
To create these Black Nails with Red Glitter Ombre:
I used my favorite black gel polish for base color. And medium fine loose red glitter to create sparkly ombre glitter fade design. You can also use a sparkly red nail polish to achieve similar look. This design can be done on a tip, like this one, or by the cuticle. Both versions look amazing!
