This Grey and Red French Manicure is one of the most popular nail designs every winter and fall.
It is elegant and simple, but dark and mysterious. I try and wear it at least once every cold season. So do a lot of my clients. It is especially requested between the middle of January and the end of February. And not only because it is a great winter mani, but also because it is a popular Valentine’s Day manicure. Especially for those clients, who are not into hearts, pinks and bright red nails.
A lot of people wear no chip manicures anywhere between 2 and 4 and even 6 weeks. So for many clients, who are due for their gel manicure in January, these Grey and Red French nails are perfect. They are fun anytime during cold weather season and will even work as Valentine’s Day nails.
This French manicure also looks great on black nail polish base.
I’ve been doing this look for years playing with different seasonal greys and deep red nail polish. Then I saw OPI create it using their Fifty Shades of Grey collection. Since then clients love it even more.
To create this Grey and Red French manicure I used:
- Dark grey gel polish as a base color
- Medium dark red gel polish for the French tip
This look can be easily created and worn as both regular and a no chip gel manicure.
It is no secret that I looove grey nails so I am obsessed with this color combination. And my clients as well. If it is on my nails, almost everyone wants it. And with fun French Manicures being one of the biggest 2021 Nail Art Trends you really can’t go wrong.
I hope you guys try it and love it as well or create your own version.
Have a healthy, safe and happy 2021.
