These St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails were my first request this year for St. Patrick’s Day Manicure.
My client asked for these on a snowy February winter day 🙂 . So I thought I would post it. Because she wears her no chip manicure for about 6 weeks, she wanted nails with St. Patrick’s Day design that can also be worn few weeks prior and a while after and not feel odd.
I first did these St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails few years ago. And like many of my nail designs, it kind of became a must for some of my clients. Most of my clients love to wear their nails in trend with a season or a specific holiday.
But it doesn’t always work out. Almost always, your appointment fall either too early or too late where the nails would be on too long after. And pretty much nobody wants to be stuck with shamrock nail art on their nails way before or way after St. Patrick’ Day 🙂 .
So very often we have to look for nail designs that can have that seasonal or holiday theme, but can be easily worn either before or after and still feel fun. Especially for those no chip mani clients. For St. Patrick’s Day these St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails are perfect.
I turn to Glitter Ombre nail designs almost always. They are so versatile! There are so many color and sparkle combinations. You can always come up with a nail design for any season, holiday or occasion. Not to mention clients love it! And they always get compliments.
French Manicure is another nail design I often turn to in these cases. Like sparkle ombre nails, French manicures can also be versatile and super fun and trendy. Instead of doing an glitter gradient, it can be turned into a French tip. It all depends on a client and their preference.
I for one love green as much as I love blue, black and white nails 🙂 . So I could wear these St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails anytime in the fall or winter, not just for St. Patrick’s Day.
To create these St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails, I used:
- Dark grey gel nail polish with a green undertone by OPI called “Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! But you can use whatever dark green, dark grey or even black shade you have.
- Light Green loose non-toxic glitter to create sparkle gradient effect.
I hope you have fun with these St. Patrick’s Day Glitter Ombre Nails! Color possibilities are endless!
Have a safe, healthy, magical and extra sparkly 2021! And a happy and fun St. Patrick’s Day!
