Start off Valentine’s Day nail art season with these Dark Grey Nails with White Heart accent.

For a lot of us, who wear no chip manicure several weeks at a time, we cannot always get our Valentine’s Day nails at the perfect time. We either have to do it too early, or have to wear it way passed Valentine’s Day.

In those cases there are always several nail designs that would work. and these Dark Grey Nails with White Hearts are one.

Medium and dark greys are always so popular during cold winter months. Perhaps because they often match the weather 🙂 . But unlike grey weather and grey mood, I absolutely love greys. I think they always look so elegant. shick and sexy.

This manicure is super versatile. The hearts can be big or small. They can be white, red or pink or even sparkly. Some of my clients ask for the white hearts and then closer to Valentine’s Day they polish over the white with a pink or a red or whatever color they like. That way you can have a little something different and don’t get tired of the same nails as much.

If you or your clients get tired of the hearts, they can be easily covered with matching nail polish. The beauty of a no chip gel polish is that you can do that. You can use a regular nail polish or acrylic paint. Just make sure you use a non-acetone remover and a good quality top coat.

To create this manicure I used:

• Dark grey gel nail polish as a base color
• White gel nail polish and a large dotting tool to create the hearts.

This manicure can be easily created and worn as both regular and a no chip gel manicure.
